of Chip Hanauer. Hanauer's driving career spanned more than three
decades, where he set an unprecedented and unbeatable eleven APBA
Gold Cup wins. He also claimed 7 national championships and 61 career

Motorsports hall of fame.
The Radio Controlled Hydroplane Racing Association
Gold Cup
The RCHRA Gold Cup trophy was created to duplicate the thrill and
challenge of winning the APBA Gold cup only on a smaller scale.
The APBA Challenge Cup, more commonly known as the APBA
Gold Cup is among the most prestigious of motorsport trophies,
in part because it is the oldest active trophy in all of motorsports
... the trophy was first awarded in 1904! In comparison, the first
Indianapolis 500 race was held in 1911 and their Borg-Warner trophy
was first awarded in 1936. Our trophy symbolizes this part of Unlimited
Hydroplane history.

Bernie Little Memorial
In RCHRA we have created a race and trophy dedicated to the life
of Bernie Little and his association and love for Unlimited Hydroplane
racing. We also call the race the Budweiser Thunderfest in regonition
of Anheuser-Bush envolment with the sport. Between 1963 and 2002,
Bernie Little's boats praticipated in 354 Unlimited Hydroplane races.
His teams finished in the top-3 a total of 230 times with a record
134 victories, including 14 APBA Gold Cups and 22 World High Points
Championships. All were with the same corperate sponsor, Anheuser-Bush.

called the Bill Muncey Memorial. This unique trophy has a chrome
propeller. Bill holds the record for most career wins at 62.

Season Highpoints Trophy
The RCHRA has created a trophy that is given to the team at the
end of the racing season with the most points. This is considered
the Highpoint Champion. Racers accumulate points at each event for
the position they place in a heat of racing. Only three Drivers
have won this trophy as of the 2006 season in its 9 year history.
